Lena and Amy are the owners of Bestie Boutique, a retail shop offering their own collection of apparel, accessories, and jewelry. The shop also offers custom printing and heat transfer for individuals, schools, organizations, and small businesses.
When the Besties decided to close their brick-and-mortar retail shop, they realized that their online shop needed a serious upgrade. Their previous website, built on Wordpress running the Divi theme builder plus WooCommerce, didn’t align with their brand, and the color scheme didn’t meet current accessibility standards. The site also didn’t highlight Bestie Boutique’s custom printing capabilities, which make up a significant part of their business.
As Lena got to work picking out new brand colors and fonts, I focused on sprucing up the shop and implementing a discounting plugin. Next, I wrote compelling copy that matched the Besties’ welcoming vibe and irreverent, fun-loving attitude. I then created a site architecture that would make it easy for visitors to find what they were looking for and learn about relevant offerings. Finally, I created a mockup of the home page before building the site in Divi.
Bold colors, quirky graphics, and eclectic vintage styles make this site unique and on brand for Bestie Boutique. My absolute favorite part of the site is the floating octopus on the home page.
